Winter is hanging on just too long now. By the time my husband and I come to visit it will surely look differently. Time for the spring flowers to appear. Let’s hope your snow melts quickly and then let it be gone, but I do love your photos and seeing it in an entirely different way. Hurry up warmer weather for all of us!
Hi my name is Susan. I live in LakeAnn,MI just 15 min from Traverse City,MI. My Mother (Margret) almost left us forever.. The doctors at U of M hospital said she would not walk out of it in 2010 summer and fall. She not only walked out of it one thime it was 3 times.. She always says “strong as bull”. She has always wanted to come to he Island when you are having the lilac festives. Could you please give me some information on the Lilac Festival and also other attraction. I would love to to rent a place or stay in a hotel for the weekend or during the week.. I appreciate your time.

Hi Susan,
All the information that you’d like to know about Mackinac Island can be found at http://www.mackinacisland.org.
I’d imagine all that white would be pretty shocking to “summer” employees! Especially those who define summer like I do-when temperatures top one hundred by 6:00 in the morning. Poor things!
